It is with considerable sadness that I must announce that our recent breeding of Trillium’s Diva Darling missed.  We had hoped that she was just going to have a small litter – but we have no puppies at all.  To those of you whom expressed your wish to wait for a Trillium Collie, thank you…we will be breeding again as soon as Frolic or Honey Bee is in season. We will announce these breedings here when they take place.

For those of you who do not wish to wait, perhaps one of these references will help you find the Collie of your dreams:

  • www.walterscollies.com   Pam Walters owns “Alex”, one of the sires we intend to breed to…she is an active breeder and may have puppies available.
  • Barb Linder, the western Pa district director of the Collie Club of America, may be reached at (412) 793-2811 or by e-mail donnybrk1@aol.com  She is usually aware of breeders in the area with available puppies.
  • Consider adopting a rescue Collie, sometimes they have puppies available  www.collierescuewpa.com
  • Visit www.colliesonline.com  this link will open to an ad – click on “contents” at the bottom of the ad and follow the right hand column.  There will be links to breeders by state and to litter announcements.

Please be careful of where you purchase your Collie.  They should have a written contract and health guarantee.  Read these carefully.  Please do not support puppy mill breeders…buying from them is NOT rescuing  - giving them your money will only encourage them to continue breeding in substandard conditions.

Trillium Kennels is located in north western Pennsylvania on a 112 acre family farm.  The rolling fields, wooded lots, and spring fed ponds prove to be the ideal setting for raising collies.

Trillium's on the Dark Side "Vader" (Major Pointed)

This breed is known as a loving and loyal family protector and has earned Hero Dog recognition many times.  I believe Collies to be the best all around dog for families, not to mention one of the most beautiful of breeds.  Trillium Collies are bred from top AKC Championship lines.  Pedigrees and photos are available upon request.

Unfortunately the popularity of Lassie as a television and movie star has led to indiscriminate breeding.  Puppy mills and backyard breeders have produced substandard dogs which are aggressive, hyper, timid, and lack true collie nature.

The goal here at Trillium Kennels is to produce happy, healthy puppies who can perform in the show ring, at obedience and agility trials, and in your home.
